So I've been thinking a lot lately about an article posted a few months ago on The Lingerie Addict: "You Are What You Buy: The Moral Paradox of Ethical Lingerie" .  It was written by Jeanna Kadlec, the owner of BlueStockings Boutique (an LGBT+ run/inclusive ethical online lingerie boutique), so she knows her shit.

It's OK not to be OK

As I'm sure you would have noticed, the ever-contentious mental health awareness event R U OK Day occurred recently (14th September). In light of this, I've decided to talk a little bit about not being ok, and why that's ok.

R U OK Day comes under a lot of fire for being pretty superficial. Yes, it raises awareness for mental illness, and it encourages folks to check in on their friends, but most folks don't really know how to respond, and it's easy to feel like people are asking just because they've been told to.
