Last weekend was one of my favourite events on the local music calendar - My reliable favourite since I first started getting involved in the Perth music scene - WAMFest's Saturday Spectacular.

If local music isn't really your thing, or you've been living under a rock for a while, WAM (the West Australian Music industry association) runs a festival every year (now called WAMFest) which includes industry conferences, awards, and a whole heap of gigs!

Incursion: Another Perth Alternative Event Down

If you've been around the Perth alternative scene much over the last five year, you've probably heard of Incursion Alternative Parties. You've probably also heard that the most recent event, their Halloween event, was their last.

#MeToo ... Now What?

So, if you’ve been on social media at all over the past week of so, you probably would have seen a constant stream of “Me Too” posts filling your feed. Some accompanied by more details, and others just the simple affirmation. Why? As a public demonstration of how widespread sexual harassment and sexual assault are.

“If all the people who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote "Me too" as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem.” And I think it succeeded.
